Construction in the first phases of Long Lake Village is beginning to wrap up as Hadley Crescent nears completion. That said, rest assured that the plans for the rest of the 40 acre master planned community are just as exciting. Darjeeling Drive and Grenoble Court (a.k.a phases 4 and 5 of Long Lake Village) are well under way. As you can see from this map, (map 1) these two streets sit on a hill just northwest of Hadley Crescent. From atop the hill, both streets look southeast at the entrance to the Halifax Harbour.

Like Hadley Crescent, the two newest streets are bordered by green belts and have their own neighborhood parks to serve as green spaces within the community. (But if that doesn’t seem like enough, I refer you to last month’s blog about the 5000 acre park just across the street.)

Construction is moving along swiftly (Darjeeling Drive is almost ready for pavement). It won’t be long before the first foundations are laid. After that, more homes will be well on their way to completion. At the rate that homes are selling on Hadley Crescent, that day can’t come soon enough for prospective home buyers.

It’s hard to discuss the homes on Darjeeling and Grenoble without also highlighting the work of the builders. Several builders will help shape the streets and give them their own unique character.
Ramar Homes is returning to Long Lake Village for phases 4 and 5. As we’re seeing right now on Hadley Crescent, they’ve built some spectacular new homes that represent the latest in modern home design. Ramar has an in-house design department that is responsible for the crisp contemporary interiors in their new houses in Long Lake Village. (Photo 1)

Mayabella Homes will also return in the next phases. The builder’s homes have already sold out in phase 2 and they have presold several homes in phase 4. The grand interiors and use of hardwood and stone create a sought-after aesthetic that is in high demand in Halifax these days. (Photo 2)

FH Development is the relative newcomer to Long Lake Village. Their first homes will appear on the north side of Darjeeling Drive. FH Developments past work speaks for itself. (Photo 3) FH often uses stone facades to blend modern and rustic to give their homes a stately effect.

In addition, Atlantic Developments, the developer of Long Lake Village, will also contribute some homes to the mosaic of phases 4 & 5. These will not be ADI’s first crack at home building in Long Lake Village. I refer readers to this photo of some ADI homes on Hadley Crescent (photo 4). Some of these homes, and others in Long Lake Village, were masterfully built by the experts at MRB Contracting. (Keep an eye out because MRB is set to return to Long Lake Village in 2018!

For those who are interested in making a move to Long Lake Village in the immediate future, Ramar Homes and Bowers Construction have finished homes for sale on Hadley Crescent. For those who are not familiar with Bowers, here is a photo of their show home on Hadley, “The Lago” … yeah, enough said (Photo 5). If a move is slightly further on the horizon, you can expect homes in phase 4 to be ready this coming spring. After that, it won’t be long until these new phases take shape and become fully completed, landscaped parts of the community that is Long Lake Village. Keep an eye on our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages for the latest details!
